About Matt

Matt is our CEO and serves on the company’s Board of Directors. Prior to co-founding Cumulus, he was the co-founder and Head of Programs at Shell TechWorks, Shell’s Skunk Works-style technology center in Cambridge, Massachusetts, focused on developing and deploying new technologies for Shell’s capital projects and operating facilities. Before joining Shell, Matt held various commercial positions in the biomedical and aerospace industries. When he isn’t working, you can find him enjoying time with his wife, daughter, and dog, skiing, or scuba diving. Matt earned his BA from Rutgers University, JD from Duke University, and Executive Certificates in Management & Leadership and Strategy & Innovation from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Mark Litke
Chief Commercial Officer

About Mark

Mark is our Chief Commercial Officer and serves on the company’s Board of Directors. Prior to co-founding Cumulus, Mark was a Portfolio Development Manager at Shell TechWorks responsible for building and managing the organization’s Downstream, Integrated Gas, and New Energies business portfolios. Before joining Shell, Mark led sales and business development efforts with government and enterprise customers at Aurora Flight Sciences and held engineering positions at Boeing and MITRE. Outside of work you can find Mark on the golf course, on the rugby pitch, or spending time with his family and dog, Scout, on the beaches of Cape Cod. Mark earned his BS in Aerospace Engineering from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and an MBA from Northeastern University.

Chiz Chikwendu
Chief Technology Officer

About Chiz

Chiz is our CTO and leads our talented product development team. Prior to co-founding Cumulus, he was the Manager of the Electrical Engineering team at Shell TechWorks, Shell’s technology center in Cambridge, Massachusetts, focused on developing and deploying new technologies for Shell’s capital projects and operating facilities. Before joining Shell, Chiz held various technical roles in the medical device and aerospace industries. Chiz enjoys playing the electric bass guitar, spending time with his wife, son, and daughter. Chiz earned his BS from Yale University, and MS in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Meghan Golden
Chief Business Officer

About Meghan

Meghan is our Chief Business Officer and also leads the Operations Team. Prior to co-founding Cumulus, she was a Program Manager at Shell TechWorks, Shell’s technology center in Cambridge, Massachusetts. At STW, Meghan led the Smart Torque System program from inception to commercialization and supported multiple deployments of the system throughout the world. Prior to joining Shell, Meghan worked in the Defense Industry and served for 6 years on active duty as an officer in the U.S. Army. Meghan enjoys being active and spending time with her husband, Steve, and their three daughters Eleanor, Victoria, and Cecilia. Meghan earned a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) from the Project Management Institute. She is a combat veteran of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom and recipient of the Bronze Star Medal.

Josh Napoli

Vice President of Software

About Josh

Joshua Napoli is our VP of Software. Josh brings over 15 years of experience to Cumulus, having worked at numerous companies and in various industries, from bio-medical to warehouse automation. Joshua co-founded a start-up that developed a computer vision system to detect falls by elderly residents of assisted living facilities, and he was Head of Software Engineering at a company the created 3D display and imaging devices. Away from the office, you can find him with his family in Providence or wheeling around town on his electric unicycle. Joshua is a graduate of MIT with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, with several patents and publications to his name.

Derek Stewart
Head of Customer Success EMEA/APAC

About Derek

Derek is a product deployment manager responsible for implementing the Smart Torque System at sites worldwide. Prior to Cumulus, he implemented IoT based systems in distribution centers and factories primarily in Asia while always being focused on providing value to customers. Before deploying IoT systems, Derek implemented supply chain management systems with the retail industry with multiple best of breed providers. When he isn’t working, you can still find him traveling with his family or enjoying his life long passion of playing ice hockey. Derek earned his BA in Economics and MS in Multinational Commerce from Boston University and lives in Maine.

Dylan Sumiskum

Lead Software Engineer 

About Dylan

Dylan is a full-stack Senior Software Engineer specializing in backend and cloud systems. Prior to joining Cumulus, he worked full time at Vistaprint where he gained substantial experience in software development, project leadership, and software testing. He leads his prior team through migrating a critical domain from monolith architecture to microservices. He is passionate about solving big and complex problems to deliver the most meaningful customer value. Dylan earned bachelor’s degrees in Economics, Finance, and Computer Information Systems from Bentley University. Outside of Cumulus, Dylan loves outdoor adventures, in particular snowboarding and hiking. He is originally from Indonesia, and is currently heading an Indonesian Professional Association in Boston.

Hannuman Bull 

Lead System Test & Integration Engineer

About Hannuman

Hannuman is the Lead System Test & Integration Engineer at Cumulus. Prior to co-founding Cumulus, he was a Senior Integration & Test Engineer at Shell TechWorks, Shell’s Skunk Works-style technology center in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Hannuman worked on the initial prototype integration and testing for the Smart Torque System and continues to lead mechanical development of test apparatus and hardware deployment systems, as well as testing all aspects of mechanical/electrical/software systems developed at or used at Cumulus. Before joining Shell, Hannuman held various project engineering and R&D positions in the academic, oceanographic, oil & gas, and defense industries. When he isn’t working, you can find him at the gym or enjoying time outdoors with his daughter. Hannuman earned his B.S. in Ocean Engineering from Florida Atlantic University, and is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) from the Project Management Institute.

Kait Sousa
Senior UI/UX Designer

About Kait

Kait Sousa is the User Experience and Interface Designer on our product development team. She is responsible for research and design to advocate for the user’s goals. With over 10 years of experience across design disciplines, she has always been interested in exploring the potential of visual storytelling to solve business challenges. Prior to joining Cumulus, she worked in a variety of industries including entertainment, healthcare, and travel. In her free time, she enjoys visiting museums, exploring architecture, and designing video games. Kait earned her BA in Studio Art from UMass Boston, where she received a fellowship to study supernatural folklore in Japan.

Jeff comes to Cumulus from the IT field, where he has worked since 2007. He attended WPI and UMass Boston where he studied both Mechanical Engineering & Computer Science. In his free time, you can find him enjoying spending his time with friends and family, playing & experimenting with new technologies, solving crosswords, playing kickball, listening to music or watching movies, motorcycling & taking apart motor vehicles.

John Paul Guerrero

Commercial Director Americas 

About John Paul

John Paul is our Commercial Director for the Americas. Prior to joining Cumulus, he spearheaded the U.S. growth of asset integrity consultancy Add Energy. John Paul has led sales and business development efforts in the energy industry for the past 16 years across all verticals, helping operators to optimize their maintenance and mechanical integrity programs, corrosion risk management and control, operational readiness, and process safety initiatives. John Paul started his career in software sales working with power/ gas utilities and energy trading companies in support of data and risk management initiatives. In his free time, he takes every opportunity to enjoy his family and looks forward to cycling and getting back to golf now that his youngest child is college-bound. John Paul earned his BBA from the University of Texas at Austin and is completing his MBA in August 2019 at the University of Houston – Downtown, with a concentration in Finance.

About Justin

Justin is one of our Product Deployment Managers. Prior to helping start Cumulus, Justin was a Senior Field Engineer at Shell Techworks, Shell’s technology center in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Justin is leading some of Cumulus’ largest and most challenging deployments. Prior to joining Shell, Justin was an Implementation Engineer in the RF communications and defense industry. He earned his B.S. in Systems Engineering from the University of Central Florida. When he’s not on site with customers Justin enjoys spending time with his wife Danielle and their daughter Madysen and son Mason. You can often find them outdoors camping, fishing, riding bikes or enjoying college football.

Marc Marino
Software Engineer 

About Marc

Marc is currently a Software Engineer on the Engineering team. In the previous 10+ years, his primary role was being a stay home parent. When he wasn’t attending to his two daughters, he enjoyed his hobbies of running and exploring craft beer. In 2012, Marc participated in the Reach the Beach Massachusetts running relay covering 200 miles on an Ultra team of six crazy members. In 2013, Marc co-owned a craft beer store and in 2014 achieved the rank of Certified Cicerone. In 2018, Marc attended Launch Academy as an entry point back into tech. Although he’s out of the beer business, he still enjoys a quality craft beer with friends by a backyard fire and quiet morning runs. Marc has a BS in Actuarial Mathematics from WPI.

Shirshak Sharma

About Shirshak

Shirshak is a Full-Stack Software Engineer specializing in JavaScript technologies and frameworks for mobile and the web. Prior to helping start Cumulus, he interned and worked full time at Shell TechWorks as a Software Engineer on projects during their prototyping and field testing phases. He is passionate about developing products for users by putting himself in their shoes. Shirshak was born and raised in Nepal. He moved to the United States in his mid-teens. He considers himself a Bostonian and cheers for the New England Patriots and Boston Celtics every chance he gets. He graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 2018 with a bachelors in Computer Science. He aspires to gain valuable experience by working at a fast-paced startup, change the industry by applying new technologies, and also have a longer bio one day.

About Subhash

Subhash is a full-stack Software Engineer specializing in backend and cloud systems. Prior to helping start Cumulus, he interned and worked full time at Shell TechWorks since 2016 as one of the primary developers and field engineers on the Smart Torque System. He is passionate about developing products through user-oriented design which deliver value to customers. Outside of Cumulus, Subhash travels with his band performing around the world, likes to make experimental flavors of popcorn, and dabbles in other forms of art. He graduated from Olin College of Engineering in 2017 with a bachelor’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Though he lives in Massachusetts, he is still a Texan at heart.

Payal is a full-stack Software Engineer specializing in backend and cloud systems. Prior to joining Cumulus, she worked at Cognizant Technology Solutions in India where she gained a good knowledge of software development. She lead different projects that integrated different end systems by developing middleware solutions. She came to United States to pursue her master’s degree from Northeastern University in Information Systems where she did a co-op at Cumulus and later joined as a full time. She does a deep analysis of every problem she solves and is diligent at delivering features that are a reflection of businesses. Outside Cumulus, she enjoys road trips and her amateur photography, loves to make Indian style “Masala Chai” and different types of cakes. Although she is originally from India, her heart beats for Boston

Loyd is our Sr. Business Development Manager for the Americas based at our Houston operations. Loyd brings over 15 years of domestic and international Industrial EPC and Maintenance project experience across a variety of markets. His project execution background provides our clients with valuable insight on how to effectively integrate technologies into their existing processes to gain the maximum benefit out of their digitization journeys. Outside of work you can find Loyd on the golf course or enjoying the Texas hill country with his family. Loyd is a veteran of United States Marine Corps, and earned his Bachelor of Science from Clemson University.

Ryan Titterington is our Business Development Manager for the Americas. Prior to joining Cumulus, he spearheaded business development efforts in multiple industries. Ryan has led sales efforts in the upstream oil and gas sector for the past 5 years which included acquisitions and divestitures of thousands of acres in both conventional and unconventional plays. Most recently, he gained valuable SaaS experience working on the Architecture, Engineering and Construction industry during his time at Autodesk. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing and camping. Ryan earned his B.A. in Economics from Colorado State University-Fort Collins.

About Elmer

Elmer has served as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer for the majority of his career, starting in the Philippines in 2004.  He has worked in all aspects of software testing, including manual functional/ regression, performance, automation, and mobile app testing. He was transferred to the U.S. by his former employer to work on a cloud solution project. He graduated from Batangas State University in Philippines with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering.  In his free time, Elmer can be found working on his Arduinos, maintaining his reef aquarium, shooting YouTube guitar cover videos, playing with a basement band, or working on his car.
