At Cumulus Digital Systems, our job is to build the Internet of Tools. We are making industrial facilities safer, cleaner, and more productive by connecting workers, tools, and data. Our award-winning system has a wide application in all processing, liquefaction, and refining installations, providing cost savings both directly and indirectly through installation time reduction.
During a typical week on the Software Engineering team, you will...
Collaborate with the team to develop user interfaces and clarify product requirements.
Balance squashing of bugs and under-the-covers improvements alongside new features.
Communicate clearly and effectively, to both technical and non-technical audiences, whether it's a Slack message, Trello comment, email, or GitHub comment. Work on some of the most difficult and meaty problems that the company faces.
Merge your latest feature that will drive forward safety and efficiency of our sites.
Interview users to get feedback on new product features.
Present what you learned or shipped this at a weekly demo session.
Contribute to and informally mentor other engineers by contributing to PR feedback.
For this role, you must be passionate about frequently shipping intuitive, quality products. You also need a keen eye for design and thoughtful user experiences. You should have a startup mentality, meaning the ability to rapidly pick up new required skills, and be proactive when it comes to project execution. Lastly, you need strong debugging skills to support full lifecycle product ownership.
Our software is built with several different technologies, including ReactJS, React Native, UWP and ASP.NET. You will master at least one, and occasionally work in all of these.
